What we do here

Every service, everywhere in Uptown.

Same method wherever you live: we go through your stuff piece by piece, you decide what goes, and everything that stays gets a home that makes sense.

Uptown is New Westminster's second commercial core, centred on Sixth Street at Sixth Avenue, up the hill from downtown. The Royal City Centre mall sits at 610 Sixth Street, with Westminster Centre a block south, and the blocks around them carry the city's densest apartment stock outside the waterfront. The housing is a mix of older walk-ups and rental towers from the 1960s and 1970s, newer condo infill along Sixth Street, and the single-family streets of Moody Park, Glenbrooke North, and Brow of the Hill that surround the core. The whole city sits on a slope above the Fraser, so the side streets have grades and the buildings have tuck-under parking. We fix the system. It is just stuff, and we sort it piece by piece.

Walk-ups and rental towers near the core

Around Sixth Street and Sixth Avenue the buildings range from 1960s three-storey walk-ups to concrete rental towers and the newer condos along the corridor. Most suites are one or two bedrooms with a closet each, and the newer ones add a locker in the parkade. What fills first is the hall closet, because it is the only place the vacuum, the coats, and the recycling can all go, and then the balcony starts holding what the closet cannot. We work from the front door back. The entry gets only what leaves the suite with you. The bedroom closets get sorted by how often you reach for each thing. If there is a locker, it gets the seasonal gear and the bike, and nothing that belongs in the kitchen. The suite ends up with room to walk through it.

Older apartments with no locker at all

A lot of Uptown's rental stock predates lockers entirely. In those buildings the suite is the only storage, and the bike, the suitcases, and the Christmas box all compete with the coats for one closet. We do not add shelving first. We edit first. Every category gets measured against the space it has, and what does not fit does not stay. Then we use the vertical room the old buildings do have: taller closets, space over the doors, the dead corner behind the bedroom door. The suite stops feeling like a storage unit with a bed in it.

Where the stuff goes

Everything you are done with goes to people nearby who need it. We make the donation runs to local charities, shelters, and families setting up around New Westminster. Nothing usable goes to the landfill. You get your space back, and someone a few blocks away gets a start.

Whole-home resets for a condo near Royal City Centre, a walk-up off Sixth Avenue, or a locker that has become a mystery. It all starts the same way: a free consult, fifteen friendly minutes, call or text, and zero judgment about what the hallway currently looks like.

Uptown questions

Asked before booking in Uptown.

Do you help with the storage lockers in the newer Uptown condos?

Yes. The newer buildings along the Sixth Street corridor usually come with a storage locker. If it has become a black hole for boxes and forgotten items, we clear it out. We decide what actually belongs down there based on the limits of the building. We set up a system so it holds bikes, tools, and seasonal gear. You get your square footage back.

My older walk-up has shallow closets and no garage. How do we fit everything?

It is a common challenge here. The older buildings off Sixth Avenue have limited storage, so the suite carries the whole household. We edit piece by piece. We look at what you own and where it actually lives. We home the daily items where they are easy to reach. The excess leaves, and there is simply less to move around.

We are downsizing from a house into an Uptown apartment. Can you help before the move?

Yes, and before is the best time. We sort the house room by room so only what fits the new floor plan makes the trip. The keepers get a home mapped to the new suite. The rest goes to donation before the movers arrive. You unpack into a place that already works instead of a hallway of boxes.

What happens to the items we donate?

It goes to people nearby. We make the donation runs to local charities, shelters, and families in New Westminster. Nothing usable goes to the landfill. You get your space back. Someone close by gets a start. It is just the next chapter for the stuff that is not for you.
