ADHD-friendly systems

ADHD-friendly systems, without the judgment.

Organizing systems built for ADHD brains in Metro Vancouver: visible, low-step, zero-shame. Body doubling through the hard parts and setups that survive real life.

If you have ADHD, or a little bit of hoarding tendency, or too many hobbies. Or you're too smart and you know too many things and you have too many beautiful, beautiful things in your life. Either way, this page is for you. Collections. Amazing t-shirts. An amazing Tupperware situation. We know. We love that for you.

Here's what we also know: you're not lazy, and you don't lack discipline. You've probably organized your whole place several times. It didn't stick because the systems were designed for somebody else's brain.

What an ADHD-friendly system actually looks like

  • Visible beats hidden. For an ADHD brain, out of sight is genuinely out of existence. Open shelves, clear bins, labels you can read across the room.
  • One step, not six. If putting something away takes opening a door, moving a box, and finding a lid, it's going on the counter forever. Every system we build is a one-motion drop.
  • Flats and paths first. Clear counters and open walkways cut visual noise, and visual noise is half the overwhelm. It's the highest-leverage change in the whole house.
  • Less stuff, fewer decisions. The deepest fix: about half your chore load is managing stuff you don't use. We go through it piece by piece (you decide what goes), and the system that's left has dramatically less to handle.

The part where we sit with you

Decision fatigue is the real boss fight, so you don't fight it alone. We're in the room, keeping the sort moving, resetting your momentum when it drifts, carrying finished piles out before they can un-decide themselves. Body doubling isn't a gimmick; for a lot of our clients it's the difference between "someday" and "done by Friday."

Perfection is a psyop, by the way. The goal was never a beige-boxes showroom; it's a home where you can find your stuff, put it away in one move, and think clearly in your own rooms. Book a free consult: fifteen minutes, zero judgment, and you don't have to tidy first. Please don't, actually.

Fair questions

Asked before booking.

I've organized my place a dozen times and it never sticks. Why would this work?

Because most organizing systems are built for a brain that isn't yours: they need six tidy steps and out-of-sight storage, and ADHD eats both for breakfast. We build the opposite; open bins, one-step put-away, everything important visible. When a system fits the brain, it doesn't need willpower to maintain.

What's body doubling and do you do it?

It's the well-documented ADHD magic where having another person in the room makes the impossible task suddenly doable. And yes, it's half of what we are. You'd be amazed what gets sorted in an afternoon with someone beside you keeping the momentum going and hauling the finished piles away.

Will you judge the state of my place?

Not even slightly. ADHD plus a world full of stuff is a genuinely hard combination, and the mess is a symptom, not a character reading. Whatever it looks like in there, we've seen further, and we've watched those exact rooms turn around.

Do we have to do a marathon session?

Only if hyperfocus shows up and you want to ride it. Otherwise we work in honest chunks with visible finish lines: a session ends with something done, because "done" is the fuel that gets you to the next one.
